How can you support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester?

There are many ways that you as individual, trust or organisation can support the Federation.

We receive no financial support from central or local government and the work that both we and our affiliates do, is largely undertaken by volunteers. Because of that any support that you as an organisation or an individual can provide is greatly appreciated.

You can support us financially

The Federation relies completely on the generous financial support of individuals and organisations.

Historically, this has always been the case within our movement with many of our traditional affiliated clubs being founded by philanthropic businessman as they saw the need.

Today, the need for such support is still there, both in order for the Federation to continue its work and also the need for young people in your community to be able to participate in positive and purposeful activities.

Ways in which you could financially support our work include:

• A one-off donation
• A regular monthly or annual donation
• Sponsor a specific activity or programme
• Sponsor an element of our work in a specific geographic area
• Become a member of our 100 Club
• Become a member of our Ambassadors Club
• Advertise in our bi-monthly magazine
• Why not run a fundraising event within your company.

You can support us by giving of your time

The Federation and its affiliated clubs are always in need of help and assistance, and are always grateful to receive offers of help.

Whatever your skills and experience you will be able to help, so please feel free to make contact with our office, either by phoning 0161 477 7735 or by clicking here.

Keeping the Federation running, or one of our clubs is not just about working with young people, delivering activities or offering them help and advice. Maybe you could help run the tuck shop, perhaps you are an accountant who can offer 1 hour per week or month keeping the clubs finances in order. Maybe you could help with fundraising. Clubs need cleaning can you give a couple of hours a week to make sure that everything is kept clean and tidy.

Whatever you can do, how ever much time you can offer YOU can help positively impact the life of a young person!

You can support us by giving Gifts in Kind

Our clubs are often in need of gifts and equipment of various kinds. Some to help keep the club running such as sports equipment, computers, filing cabinets, Pool tables or desks etc.

Sometimes they need gifts for raffles or prizes for club competitions.

The Federation often needs similar help. We are often looking for companies who will allow us to use their training and leadership programmes free of charge. Or perhaps you can offer help with marketing, branding or promotion of our organisation. Can you offer us free advertising space in your company magazine?
